TEACHING STYLE:
I am a strong believer in making students understand what they are studying. I don't believe in feeding solutions and answers without first probing the student and making him/her think. Until and unless students understand what they are studying, they are not learning. Therefore, my classes are focused on letting students LEARN, not merely score in exams with memorized knowledge. In order to make sure this happens, topics might be repeated and many exercises will be given to test student's understanding.

I also believe in making learning fun! My classes may involve board games, educational computer games, movie viewing, exciting class activities and so on, especially for English Language classes with 2 or more students. Students will also be taught to draw colourful Mind Maps for their notes.

I believe that if students find satisfaction in learning, they will automatically do well in exams. That being said, my classes will still be exam-focused; they are just not exam-oriented.

The first class will generally involve a scan through the student's exam papers and school work, as well as a chat with the student to gauge his/her level of understanding in a particular subject. Thereafter, I will gradually tailor my teaching style to the student based on his/her learning abilities and tendencies.
